Pitch Presentation (Second Pitch – Including the GDD)

Pitch Date: 11/02/2019

For the second pitch we had to present are previous presentation which was more improve with any of are pre-product work we have done and any information from are Games Design Document (GDD) into slides shorten down. This second presentation was to get more feedback from others to see if we where making enough progress on are project and to see if are idea was still possible to make.

This presentation was also filmed that we could refer back to are recorded pitch to see what improvements we could add or need to make are project better, this pitch recording is also getting marked. This pitch was filmed in the lecture theatre.

The feedback that we received from this pitch was to consider what type of sound that we may want to use in the final edit of are VFX shot and that may go into are soundscape as well, also we got told to try to get the green screen and to take a couple of shot and see how much green spilling there would be when we put it into Nuke once we have used the Keyer Node (Keying). This was so that we could see if we where going to have any problems when we are going to start shooting our final shot for are VFX project, they also said that we may have to test some lighting as well because the lighting can become one of the biggest problems when try to shot and make a VFX composite.

Storyboard – Start and End

Storyboard Start date: /01/19

Storyboard End date: 15/02/19

When it came to starting to make the storyboard I had to first research some motorbike chase sequence so that I could get a feel of how I wanted my storyboard to look like, some of the motorbike chase sequences that I looked at where from the movies:

  • James Bond – Specture
  • The Matrix – Reloaded

These where the original references I used to create my first draft of my storyboard and this is what they looked like:

This is my final storyboard design:

This storyboard where based of the camera angles from the film Mission Impossible
  • Mission Impossible –

The chase scene that I like the most was the scene the Mission Impossible because in this scene there was a lot of camera angle change in only a couple of seconds

These are some of the camera angles which I like from the movie:

Scene No: 1 Shot: 2 is based off the first image above

Scene No: 1 Shot: 3 is based off the second image above

Scene No 1 Shot; 3 is based off the tenth image above

The reason I liked these shot where because it made my storyboard make a lot more sense because in the first drafts of my storyboards it felt like they where skipping important scenes, this was because I was skipping from one scene to the next and by add these scenes from Mission Impossible it made my final storyboard make a lot more sense than it did before I started to look at some more motorbike chase sequences.

Pitch Presentation (First Pitch)

Presentation date was: 21-02-19

For the pitch we had to create a PowerPoint presentation which would contain information about are idea as a team, so that we could then present it to a group of lectures who would then be able to assess are idea to see if it would work of not and to also see if are idea as a team was possible to make in the time we have been given.

The feedback that we received is that they really like are idea/are presentation and they through that are idea was possible to achieve in the time we where given, but the only feedback we got was that we need to think about are final motorbike designs of what are motorbike is going to look like so that we could start modelling. They also wanted us to take practice shot using a green screen to see if it was possible to replace the background and to cut around someone while they are sitting on a motorbike in front of the green screen.

I felt like this presentation was a complete success because I didn’t think it was going to go as well as it did, in this presentation the things that went well was that we both had enough to say between the both of us and on each of the sides. We also had enough responses at the end to say what we may have missed out.
